The short version

Every project starts with a written quote that spells out what we'll do, what it costs and how long it takes. That quote is the agreement. This page just explains how we work in plain terms.

Quotes and scope

We agree the work in writing before we start. Anything you ask for later that isn't in the quote gets its own quote first, so there are no surprise charges. Prices and examples on this website are for information only, not a fixed offer.

Paying us

For a fixed project, we usually invoice half at the start and half when it's done. For ongoing work, we invoice monthly. Invoices are due within 15 days. If an invoice is well overdue we may pause work until it's settled.

What we need from you

Access to the accounts and systems the work touches, and one person who can answer questions and approve decisions. If we're kept waiting on those, timelines can move.

Other companies' tools

A lot of our work runs on services like Google Workspace, Zapier and domain registrars. You pay those companies directly for their subscriptions, and we can't be responsible for their outages, price changes or policy changes.

Who owns the work

Once you've paid in full, the scripts, settings, documentation and website files we made for you are yours. We may reuse general methods and know-how on other projects, but never anything specific or private to you.

If something breaks

If a fault in our own work shows up within 30 days of handover, we fix it free. After that, changes and fixes are billed normally. If a dispute ever comes up, the most we'd owe for a project is what you paid us for it, and we're not liable for knock-on losses beyond that.

Keeping things private

Anything you share with us that isn't public stays between us. We're happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement if you have one, and we won't mention you as a client without your say-so.

Stopping

Either of us can end ongoing work with 30 days' notice. If a fixed project is stopped partway through, you pay for the work done so far and get everything produced up to that point.

This is a plain-English summary of how we work, not a formal contract on its own — your project quote is the binding document. Questions? Write to contact@aldeaitsolutions.com.
